i remember being taken aback by you asking me to go with you on a picnic that first weekend (firstly because i was planning a first date already and you beat me to it with such a better idea and secondly because you knew the only pants i owned were all black skinny jeans lol but you didn't care and frankly neither did i)
when the day came as we walked to the spot of the picnic we bonded over stories of how coincidental it was that the both of us would come to this same spot with our separate friend groups in high school to take shrooms and just be dumb teenagers. we knew each other back then but never i was always too afraid or nervous to talk to you.
when we got to the picnic spot you had everything we could ever need in your bag. a blanket , marshmallow easter eggs far before easter , rascals , chips and a bottle of cold water. we rolled joints speaking about how crazy this all was, us.
i remember playing you some demos i had on my phone of the hyp3rg0r3 Mega Man project i was working on at the time. you really didn't get it but you were always so open to it, making sure i played every track in its entirety and no matter how much you might of disliked it you only ever had encouraging words.
after a few joints you decided to take a nap in the sun and i went to go sit under a tree in the shade to avoid the sunlight but still have a good enough view to adore you from. you were mine. i couldn't believe it.
